We understand that businesses want to keep the workplace safe for the health of their businesses, that of their employees and their customers. Having everyone vaccinated is the safest bet at the moment, however issues here are arising:
– Can I force my employees to get vaccinated?
– Can I ask my employees if they have been vaccinated?
– Can I terminate or change the designation of someone who does not want to provide information about their vaccination?
– Can I ask employees to carry out routine swabbing?
– What happens if someone cannot be vaccinated, is there a risk for themselves and those around them?
With the collaboration of the Department of Industrial and Employment Relations (DIER) and the Office of Information and Data Protection Protection Commission (IDPC) we will explore how to handle these issues in a way that is still within the law to avoid disputes and legal complications.
