Information Session for Drivers – Responsible Road Use in collaboration with Transport Malta

The Malta Chamber of SMEs is collaborating with the Authority for Transport in Malta as part of the initiatives being undertaken by the Transport Learning Hub.

The underlying objective of this outreach is that the new legislative framework on impaired driving poses important challenges on the drivers themselves and on the employers in terms of lost productivity, third party damages and own damages, potential hiring of replacement staff and so on.

The sessions are informative sessions on the new provisions and explain the impact on offenders. Road safety begins with awareness and continues with discipline.

Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is never acceptable. Responsible choices save lives. Respect is the foundation of road safety.

These initial sessions will be delivered by the Malta Police Force and the main objectives include:

  • Illustrate/explain the impairment on driving of abuse of substance and alcohol use

  • Respect whilst on the road

  • Excessive speed, dangerous manoeuvrings

  • Language barriers

  • Accident response recommendations

The sessions start at 3 pm at the Malta Chamber of SMEs, 43-45, Kapuċċini Street, Floriana and the duration is of 2 hours . This session will be in English. Another session in Maltese will take place in the coming weeks.

A digital certificate of attendance will be delivered to all participants.
