Information Session: Changes to the wage regulation order

Following Legal Notices 112 to 143 of 2026, published in the Government Gazette, 32 new Conditions of Work Regulation Orders have come into effect, replacing the previous sector-by-sector Wage Regulation Orders. These regulations affect almost every private-sector employee in Malta, from retail cashiers to hotel kitchen staff.

To help members better understand these changes, the Malta Chamber of SMEs, in collaboration with DIER – the Department of Industrial and Employment Relations, will be organising an online information session for its members on Wednesday, 2 September, at 11:00 a.m.

The information session will provide an overview of the changes introduced by the new regulations and offer participants the opportunity to better understand how these changes may affect their industry and business.
